Investigator Sponsored Research (ISR) Grants

ISR refers to research sponsored and conducted by qualified investigators. Melinta will consider two different medical research grant types: Investigator-Initiated Studies (IIS) and External Collaborative Research Studies (ECRS). All ISR grant proposals should align with one of our research areas of interest.

  • Investigator Initiated Studies: These are clinical trials, registries or other real world evidence studies, health outcomes research studies, or pre-clinical research studies usually involving the Company’s drug(s) where a third party investigator independently proposes the study, serves as the sponsor-investigator, and assumes all responsibility for the conduct of the study. The Company may provide drug, drug powder, and/or financial support. These studies can involve investigational or marketed products.
  • External Collaborative Research Study: These are clinical trials, registries or other real world evidence studies, health outcomes research studies, or pre-clinical research studies usually involving the Company’s drug(s) where a third party investigator may independently propose the study or the Company solicits a research proposal from appropriate qualified investigators. The investigator serves as the sponsor investigator and assumes all responsibility for the conduct of the study. Medical personnel at the Company will scientifically collaborate with the investigator including providing input into the study design, analysis of data and results, and authoring the study report or related publications. The Company may provide drug, drug powder, and/or financial support. These studies can involve investigational or marketed products.
